Matthew Shlomowitz’s Lecture about Listening to Music makes us think about how we listen to and understand music through our social and cultural backgrounds. The performance, which combines music and speech, surprises and challenges both in pedagogical and humorous ways. Lecture about Listening to Music is part of Shlomowitz’s series of musical lectures, where he explores the aesthetics of music and the role of the listener.

Claudia Molitor’s Now everything is different is a multidisciplinary sound performance that combines classical and popular music, video art and field recordings. Based on Molitor’s album Have You Ever (2022), the work tells about the importance of change in order to achieve a more equal and better world. The performance invites you to observe the range of emotions evoked by change and to listen to the world around you in a new way.
