The Time of Music will be opened by London Sinfonietta, one of the world’s leading contemporary music ensembles, with its first class soloists. Hans Werner Henze’s song cycle Voices deals with always topical social themes, such as oppression and alienation. This concert features the first 11 movements of Voices as well as three world premieres in between them. The second half of the entirety will be heard in 21st Century Voices II concert on Wednesday 5th of July.
The concert is a part of the Sounds Now project supported by the Creative Europe programme.
